That’s why SaddleFit Canada offers structured, detailed virtual saddle fitting appointments — specifically designed for riders in remote or underserved areas.

How It Works

1. Reach Out

Start by contacting us to confirm that a virtual appointment is the right fit for your situation. We’ll answer questions and outline next steps.

2. Complete the Intake Form

You’ll receive a comprehensive intake form covering:

Horse history & workload
Rider goals
Current saddle details
Fit concerns
Areas of soreness or resistance
Conformation photos

This allows us to assess the full picture before moving forward.

3. Back Tracings & Measurements

To better understand your horse’s shape and width, we guide you through taking:

Wither tracings
Mid-back tracings
Additional reference tracings when needed
Basic back length measurements

You’ll receive clear instructions and examples so you can confidently complete them at home. These tracings help us determine tree width, panel compatibility, and overall shape requirements.

4. Submit Photos & Videos

You’ll send and variation of:

Saddle on/off the horse
Saddle girthed up on horse, no pad
Hand walking videos
Mounted walk and trot video and canter if possible
Specific problem areas
Movement footage from both sides

Video allows us to assess dynamic balance, stability, and movement in real time — not just static fit.

5. Optional Live Video Appointment

In some cases, a live Video session is recommended so we can:

Guide you through additional angles
Evaluate movement live
Clarify details instantly
Answer your questions on the spot

When possible, this step adds even more precision.

After reviewing your tracings, photos, and videos, you’ll receive:

If flocking adjustments are required, your saddle can be shipped to SFC.
