How the Saddle Trade-In Program Works

Apply for a Trade-In
Submit your saddle details using our online trade-in form, including brand, model, age, and clear photos.
Preliminary Review
We assess brand demand, condition, and resale potential and provide a non-binding estimated value range.
Inspection
Your saddle is inspected in person or upon arrival if shipped.
Final Trade-In Value
Once approved, a final trade-in value is confirmed.
Apply Credit Toward a New Saddle
Your trade-in value is applied directly to your new saddle purchase.

What Saddles Are Eligible for Trade-In

To ensure quality and safety, eligible saddles must:

Be from a recognized, quality saddle brand
Have a sound tree and structurally intact panels and billets
Be in good to very good condition
Be suitable for resale, rental, or professional use

Not eligible:

Saddles with broken or compromised trees
Significant structural damage or excessive wear
Mold, neglect, or improper storage damage
Saddles outside of current resale demand

All trade-ins are accepted at the sole discretion of SaddleFit Canada.

How Trade-In Value Is Determined

Trade-in value reflects current wholesale resale value, not private sale pricing. Factors considered include:

Brand and model demand
Age and overall condition
Cost of reflocking, servicing, or refurbishment
Current market conditions

This ensures fair pricing while allowing us to maintain high standards for every saddle that re-enters circulation.

How Trade-In Credit Can Be Used

Trade-in credit can be applied toward the purchase of a new saddle only
Credit has no cash value and is non-transferable
Trade-in credit must be used within a specified timeframe
Certain promotions or discounts may not be combined

Once credit is applied, ownership of the traded saddle transfers to SaddleFit Canada.
